The program emphasizes the conceptual and applied understanding of business information and prepares students for careers in accounting and business. Masters Program Our masters program equips students with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to navigate a wide range of business environments. Graduates are prepared for top-tier careers in assurance, taxes, financial transactions and advisory services all in with only 10 months of study. Doctoral Program The doctorate in accounting and information management is a full-time, research-oriented program. It starts in July with a mathematics prerequisite course. Students typically complete two years of coursework followed by two years of dissertation work. Neel Corporate Governance Center The Neel Corporate Governance Center brings together expertise from the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business with the College of Law. The center maintains a public policy focus and also conducts research on topics facing corporate America such as audit process, executive compensation, board structure and firm performance.
